John M. Weathersby, Jr.
John M. Weathersby, Jr. is a strategist, entrepreneur and business relationship facilitator who has nearly 20 years experience promoting the adoption of open source software technologies within U.S. Federal Government . He is the founder of the Open Technology Center at Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center and the civilian program manager of the Open Source Unmanned Remote and Autonomous Vehicle Systems (OS-URAVS) program. He is also the founder and chairman of the Open Source Software Institute, (oss-institute.org) a U.S.-based non-profit organization whose mission is to promote adoption of open source software solutions within government IT environments and serves as an advisor to several federal agencies including the Department of Homeland Security and Department of Defense.
Dr. Brad Smith

Brad Smith is a proven leader and visionary possessing keen personal, political, analytical, communications, and government relations skills earned and proven over a thirty three year military career culminating as Commander of the nation's largest reserve component training center. Brad had the honor of establishing Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center as the nation's largest mobilization station managing mobilization, deployment, and demobilization of 250,000+ reserve component personnel from every state and territory. He flawlessly executed an annual operating budget in excess of $65M with a local economic impact exceeding $1B annually. Ten years later, upon mission completion, he moved the installation into uncharted territory building an open and positive climate for business development with a host of academic, government, and business partners for the purpose of research, collaboration, and technology transfer. Dr. Smith is a credentialed environmental professional and adjunct instructor in the Department of Biological Sciences at William Carey University.
