Objective:

Coordinate with public safety, public service and public administration communities of interest with Mississippi 4th Congressional District to identify benefits and challenges of unmanned vehicle adoption within rural communities.

Government Hosts:

U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Science and Technology Directorate; U.S. Department of Defense, Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office

Attendees:

60+ federal, state and local public safety, public service and public administration representatives

Notes:

Program scope and initial activities are to define the functional and technical requirements for a planning system that inventories unmanned, remote and autonomous vehicle systems (URAVS) technologies, compliance issues and market trends/services and develop a functional system/process prototype to manage the critical aspects of this information.
